Survivor was named this for a reason. She is a puppy mill survivor. AKC registered - lived in basically a box for 5 years and handled very little. She is a super sweet girl that we have had now for 4 1/2 months waiting until we felt she would be okay with a new home. She is not potty trained but is now working on it. We are just starting to crate train her. We didn't feel it was right to lock her up in another box - we wanted her to experience freedom. She sleeps in a bed with us very well. She will cower down when we go to pick her up but no longer hides from us. It is heartbreaking. She is very healthy and we had her spayed and fully vaccinated. Please consider giving Survivor a life free of breeding and a lot of holding close - things she had never experienced in her previous location (WAS NOT A HOME AT ALL!) Think before you shop at that pet store. Remember that most pet store puppies come from puppy mills - even though they will not admit it. Puppy mills dogs never experience love - warmth - companionship. Research puppy mills on the net and look at even the Amish mills. You will be shocked - not as shocked as if you actually visit one of these locations. Of course the only way to see them is to tresspass - attend an auction - or be a miller.
